Kira was hired by Kaleidoscope in January 2015 as a face painter and balloon twister. She’s since grown as an artist to play a few popular princesses, provide UV body paint, and help lead paint nights.

Kira’s story (with both Kaleidoscope and acting) starts as part of the Newington Children’s Theatre. In elementary school, she played Jasmine in a local children’s interpretation of Alladin, where life-long friends (then in middle school) Jess and Marissa happened to be in the audience.
As Kira went onto do theatre at Newington High School, she became friends with Jess (years after the original production of Alladin). And when Jess began working at Kaleidoscope years later, she recruited Kira as one of our first princesses!

From there, she became a face painter, balloon twister, visual artist… you know the rest!
Kira loves children and has experience with childcare from years of babysitting and volunteering at Knight Hall School in West Hartford CT. She recently graduated Trinity College with an English degree and minors in Writing/Rhetoric and Classics (and somehow still found time to act in Trinity’s theatrical productions and sings in their all female a cappella group, the Trinitones.)
Since graduating Kira spent several years working at Playhouse on Park, and is now working in the Naugatuck Valley Community College theatre department. She continues to foster her love for visual art at Kaleidoscope and we can’t wait to see what she does next!
