Henna is a traditional South Asian body art form that is applied on hands, feet, or anywhere else in gorgeous patterns. Our artists can come with pre-made designs, or take requests! This is one of the most popular things we offer for small parties for teens and adults.
Glitter tattoos are a really quick and easy. The majority of where we do glitter tattoos is at client’s home parties as an add-on for face painting and balloon twisting. We have tons of fun designs, from flowers and hearts to scorpions and skulls. So yes–boys love them too!
Many parents booking face painters or balloon twisters in CT, MA, and RI are booking party entertainment for the first time, and aren’t sure what questions they should be asking! We’ve done over a thousand birthday parties, so we know exactly what questions to ask any company–no matter who is doing your entertainment.
Super Hero parties are one of the most popular themes of the year for any age or gender. The reasons most companies don’t offer super hero performers are a little less than obvious:
Expensive fiberglass costumes make heroes a pretty expensive entertainment–out of the budget of most birthday parties
Kids interact with heroes the ways they’ve seen them interacted with. (Which, unfortunately, means they usually try to fight the heroes.)
Costumes that involve masks make it hard to interact with children in the same way our princesses do.
So, instead of simply sending a costumed character to your party, we’ve put together a super-fun package for any super hero party: Build Your Own Hero! For the same budget as sending in a super hero (if not less) we have a special package for all of our favorite little heroes and villains:
Arg! Because pirate birthday party themes are growing ever-popular, we’ve introduced a fun upgrade for any package: pirate entertainers! Our pirates come all the way from Princess Party Perfect and are trained actors and actresses who can come in-character for any of the following activities:
Resident magician Magic Mike has been making jaws drop all around New Hampshire and Massachusetts with his magic shows at birthday parties, corporate events, weddings, and everywhere in between!
Lauren R has been a face painter and balloon twister since August 2014 and is our resident Fairy God Mother!
Lauren started at Kaleidoscope so long ago, she actually found this job on Craig’s List! (Yes, THAT Craig’s List!) An avid cosplayer and costume designer, Lauren was looking for a job that combined her talent in visual arts with her love and experience working with children.
At events, Lauren is a face painter, balloon twister, hair artist, temporary tattoo artist, henna artist, clown, fairy, pirate, cartoon character, toddler-party-package-specialist, and probably a few other things we can’t remember. She covers all three of our states we service (CT, MA, and RI) but hails from Manchester, CT.
Before coming to Kaleidoscope, Lauren went to Champlain College for Elementary Education and before going to cosmetology school for hair and makeup. She’s a professional creative-thing-maker and a top-notch entertainer!
